Course Description
The Incident Command System is a standardized management system used to organize and manage a scalable response to emergency incidents of any magnitude.

This half day session is intended as an introduction and overview of the Incident Command System.

It is designed for people who may be assigned to incidents in non-supervisory roles and as a prerequisite for students continuing to other levels. With this promotion, we are covering all administrative costs, including written examination and certificate.

The material is not confined to one discipline and is intended for all emergency responders. Module presentations and exercises are tailored to our client's needs on a course by course basis.

Incident Command System 200 (I-200)

Course Description
The Incident Command System is a standardized management system used to organize and manage a scalable response to emergency incidents of any magnitude. This basic level course provides, those who will be the initial incident commander and those who will have a supervisory role at a small to moderate size incident, the knowledge and skills to manage effectively and efficiently at these emergency sites.

Anyone who requires a sound knowledge of Incident Command and its structure along with the relationships among the various task groups.

Course Description

This more detailed session is primarily designed to provide those individuals with increasing responsibility, the knowledge and skills they will need to manage effectively and efficiently at the site level. Pre-requisite I-200

Incident Command System 400 (I-400)

Course Description

The purpose of this 3 day course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to manage large and complex emergency incidents, multiple incidents involving multiple agencies and multiple jurisdictions, or participate in a supervisory position in such incidents.

The following subjects are presented, discussed and practiced:

  • Command and General Staff: Details responsibilities and guidelines for activation.
  • Unified Command: Outlines the purpose and advantage of multi-jurisdiction and/or multi-agency Unified Command, and how Unified Command can be applied to an incident .
  • Major Incident Management: Describes several models on how to divide major, single incidents for more effective management.
  • Area Command: Describes why, when, where, and how Area Command is established, and the organization, facilities and communications required.

Simulation exercises are included with each module.

An officially sanctioned Certificate will be issued following completion of I-400.

Incident Command System (For Executives)

This 4 hour orientation is designed for executives, administrators, and policy makers. It provides a basic understanding of ICS, Unified and Area command, and multi-agency coordination to those persons responsible for setting or implementing policy, but who normally are not a part of the on-scene ICS organization. The module also discusses responsibilities and information transfer between Agency Executives and Incident Commanders. Prerequisite: None

Continuity Management 1000 (CM 1000)

Single day Business Continuity Management overview. Excellent appreciation of Continuity Management for mid to senior level managers.

Can be adjusted for a half day, fast paced executive seminar.

Continuity Management 2000 (CM 2000)

Two day course on the fundamentals of BCM for intact teams. Instruction includes the “how” of implementing a competent BC program aligned with the organizations goals.

Continuity Management 3000 (CM 3000)

Three day course on the details of Business Continuity Management.

Includes Business Continuity methodology & Implementation Techniques.

BIA Workshop

A two day interactive workshop teaching the techniques to achieve success and the processes required to implement a Business Impact Analysis. The seminar is designed to be fast paced with many opportunities for participation and discussion.

  • Identifying the impacts from disruptions and disasters
  • Techniques to quantify and qualify impacts

Exercising the Business Continuity Plan (EX 2000)

Course Description

A two day interactive workshop program teaching the techniques to achieve success and the processes required to design, manage, and evaluate exercises for Business Continuity, Emergency Management or Pandemic Plans. The seminar is designed to be fast paced with many opportunities for participation and discussion. Participants use the techniques learned in the first day and a half of the workshop to conduct and participate in a 1 hour tabletop exercise during the second afternoon. Seminar materials include a 3 ring binder with the presentation slides, 29 templates in both hard and soft copies consisting of 26 design and evaluation forms, a tabletop exercise development guide and 2 post-exercise report formats. All templates are non-copyright and can be used as desired by participants.

- Each team is assigned activities relative to the design of a table top exercise
