BCP for Government of Canada (FED BCP)
Vanguard EMC Inc. has developed a Business Continuity Planning training workshop to provide the required methodology for developing of Canadian Government mandated programs. The course complies with the Emergency Management Act (2011), TBS Policy on Government Security (2009) and Operational Security Standard for Business Continuity Planning (2004).
This course is intended as a replacement for the withdrawn T726 formerly provided by the Canada School of Public Service. Course content includes theory and 13 plan development activities to reinforce the following concepts:
- Overview of the requirements of BCP within the federal government
- BCP authorities
- Policy, scope and objectives
- Roles and responsibilities
- The four elements of the Treasury Board requirement:
Governance, policy and project management
Business impact analysis, risk assessment, recovery strategies
Plans and arrangements
Readiness, exercises and maintenance
- Training and awareness
Federal government employees
$1450 includes student reference text, workshops and knowledge checks. Successful participants are awarded a course completion certificate.
